Do you love the thrill of catching fish? That is what Fisch is all about in this thrilling Roblox game! And to help you reel in the big one, our Fisch beginners guide will get you through the basics of the game, along with some tips to help you on your way!
Getting Started
First off, you will need to download Roblox if you haven’t done so already. You can find it in the Play Store.
Once you have set up your account, use the search bar to search for Fisch.
Tap on Play (▶️).
Fisch will load and you will be taken to the main map, where you are able to claim coins. These daily rewards are important, so make sure you log in daily. We will explain this a bit later.
Fisch Gameplay
Playing Fisch might seem daunting at first, but it is actually really simple. On the left-hand side of your screen, at the top, you will see gameplay instructions and tasks.
Your first instruction is to Speak to Pierre.
Movement
To move around in Fisch, use the joystick located on the bottom left-hand side of your screen.
To move your map around, simply use your right hand on the right-hand side of your screen, and slide your finger in the direction you would like to face.
To zoom in, use two fingers and spread them over your screen. To zoom out, do the opposite by pinching your two fingers together.
To jump, use the jump icon that looks like an arrow pointing upwards.
Use your right hand to look down at the floor. Move your camera until you see lines on the floor.
These lines will direct you to Pierre, so follow them until you come to a stop in front of Pierre. Tap on him to talk.
He will give you your new task, which is to catch three fish.
Reel in a catch
Actual fishing is a different story in Fisch. Follow the steps below to reel in a big one:
- Tap on Flimsy Rod at the bottom of your screen, once you are close to the water.
- Make sure you have your camera turned in the direction of the water, and tap and hold on your screen until the bar on the right-hand side reaches the top. Then let go of your screen.
- You can speed up the fishing process by tapping on the shake icons that appear on your screen. They will immediately disappear and reappear as you have touched one. Tap on them all until a red exclamation mark appears above your head.
- Once you see the exclamation mark, it means a fish is on the line.
- You will see a bar appear at the bottom of your screen, showing a progress bar at the very bottom, and a moving bar just above it.
- The moving bar is the tension of your line, you will need to get the progress bar on the bottom to full in order to catch a fish.
- If you tap and hold on the right-hand side of your screen, the bar will move to the right, and letting go of your screen will make the bar go left again. You need to try and keep the fish icon inside the bar until the progress meter at the bottom becomes full. If you do this, you will catch a fish.
- To start walking again without casting the line the whole time, tap on the flimsy rod again at the bottom of the screen.
The Merchant
Tasks are one of the most important things you need to do to progress in Fisch. Once you have caught your three fish as instructed, return to Pierre, and talk to him.
Your next task is to sell fish and purchase a new fishing rod. That is where the Merchant comes in! He is located in the Moosewood Village. Approach the merchant and tap on him.
He will give you various options, such as selling specific fish one at a time, selling your full inventory list, buying a fishing rod, and the option to find out exactly who he is. If these options are not what you are looking for right away, tap on Nevermind to leave the chat, or simply walk away.
He will give you the option to walk around and purchase a fishing rod located right at his stall. Keep in mind that the more expensive a rod is, the more likely you are to catch better rarity fish, and bigger fish too.
You will need to catch and sell a few more fish if you want to earn a decent amount of coins to purchase a better fishing rod.
Once you have the money needed, purchase a fishing rod and equip it. To do so, tap on the equipment bag at the bottom of your screen, and your new fishing rod will be seen in your bag. Tap the fishing rod you would like to equip.
Rarity Explained
In most games, you will get a rarity level, i.e.. items that progress from worst to best. Fisch is no different. Below we explain what they are, from best to worst, and give you an idea of the color items you are looking for:
Rarity Level: | Details: |
Relic | By far the best in Fisch! If you want to be the best in the game, Relic items are your go-to! (Read more on how to obtain relics and how to utilize them below). |
Event | These items can only be obtained during an event in Fisch. Having these items will also count in your favor. |
Mythical | These items will not only give you a lot of cash (fish), having items of this rarity will help you progress very fast with additional stats added. |
Legendary | Though not as good as Mythical items, Legendary items still really good, and are better to have than lower rarity items. They can still be used during end-game to get to where you want to be. |
Rare | Rare items are ok, they can be used in the middle and beginning stages in Fisch, however, trying to get further with these items is not something we would recommend. |
Unusual | These items are also ok and are better for use in the beginning of Fisch. You would need to get better items as soon as possible though. |
Uncommon | The same applies to Uncommon items. Uncommon items are ok to use in the very beginning. |
Common | By far the worst items to have in Fisch. You do begin with Common items, but getting a better fishing rod/bait, etc. is highly recommended. As soon as possible! |

How To Use Bait
Using bait in Fisch is easy. Simply tap on your equipment bag at the bottom of your screen and tap on the bait you want to use. Your bait can be seen on the right-hand side.
When you cast, your bait is automatically used when you cast and catch a fish. Note that even if you lose a fish, your bait will still be consumed, so be careful.
Where to get bait you may ask? As a beginner, your bait can be purchased on Moosewood Island. It will cost you 120C$ each time.
To use a bait crate, simply tap on it in your inventory after you have purchased it, and then tap on the crate in front of you.
Crab Cage
The crab cage is interesting if you are looking to catch more than just fish. They enable you to catch floor-dwelling sea creatures, among other things.
To purchase a crab cage, catch and sell fish until you have 45C$ (Coin Currency in Fisch). Proceed to the Merchant and find the crab cages on the right-hand side of the stall.
To use a crab cage, proceed to the pond just beyond the Merchant. Tap on the crab cage in your inventory, and place the cage by tapping on the green area in the water. See the image below:
You can hang around and wait for a catch. It may take a bit of time, but trying to come back later and find your cage may be an issue (*cough like me that lost mine a few times cough*).
Once a hand appears saying Claim, you need to press and hold the claim button.
Note that every time you catch something with the crab cage, you will have to repurchase a cage at the Merchant.
Ahoy Matey!
If you get seasick, rather scroll past this section! But, if you want to reel in a really large fish, perhaps you should rethink your strategy, coz this is the place to be! You can sail on a boat in Fisch, to grab that extra large catch! Follow the steps below:
Make sure you have sold a lot of fish, coz these ships/boats are not cheap! Proceed to the Shipwright close to your spawning area.
Tap on Talk and ask to see your ships. You will have plenty of options to choose from, but know that if you want the best boats, you will have to grind a lot! Purchase one of them, and tap on Spawn. Your boat will appear at the docks behind the Shipwright.
To board your boat, jump in the water and press forward until you reach it, then jump on your boat. Tap on Sit to take a seat. Note that you have to sit by the oars to be able to steer, and you can be standing or sitting to be able to fish.
To move forward, simply control the boat the same way you would control your character on land with the left-hand side joystick. To turn, use the left-hand joystick as well. This is also where the GPS comes in handy, so be sure to write those coordinates down!!
Traveling will allow you to visit different islands, and in turn, you will be able to purchase better items, rods, bait, etc.
Be prepared to catch some huge fish in the ocean!
GPS
Right next to the pond in Moosewood, you will see a chair with an option to purchase a GPS for 100C$. A GPS is a good thing to have if you are looking for coordinates for your next big catch.
It can also come in handy in Fisch when you manage to get your hands on a treasure map.
Radar
Along with the GPS, one of the best items you can own is the Radar! Not only does it show you where fish are, it shows you their rarity and what sort of fish you can catch. Look, it is expensive at 8000C$, but it is totally worth it!
Simply purchase one in Moosewood, on the left-hand side of the Shipwright.
To use the Radar, tap on it in your inventory and move around to see colorful water.
Relics Explained
One of the best items you can get in Fisch are relics. They can be used to enchant fishing rods, and make their stats even better.
How To Get Relics
To get relics, you will need to fish for them. They are random and can be obtained at any given time.
How To Use Relics
- To use a relic, you need to go to Statue Of Sovereignty. You need to make sure you are there at night.
- Enter the cave and talk to the NPC by the elevator.
- You will have to pay him 400C$ for a coin to use on the elevator. Use the coin to interact with the elevator lever, inside the elevator.
- If you enter the elevator and go down during the day, you will sit and wait a long time for night to come, if ever (trust me on this!).
- You will proceed down a level once you have used your coin, and find yourself on an eerie looking floor. Run to a circular raised platform, called the Enchant Altar.
- Tap on your relic in your inventory, and tap on the circle to interact with the Altar, as can be seen below:
Note that whichever fishing rod you have equipped is the one that will be enchanted, so be sure to equip the correct one first!
Whirlpools
At any time, randomly, you will be notified at the top of your screen that a whirlpool has appeared. You can search for these whirlpools by sailing in your boat in the ocean.
Some of these whirlpools are normal-looking, however, here and there you will find a whirlpool that is actually an Isonade.
Using the fish radar in Fisch will enable you to see that it is no ordinary whirlpool. The ordinary whirlpool is just a swirling mass of water.
Why mention this? Well, an Isonade in Fisch allows you to jump through a portal, enabling you to catch fish in a completely different location. All you need to do is jump into an Isonade when you come across them on the map.
Don’t forget to purchase the conch to create a new portal to get out of the secret area! Or you can just drown, but someone is bound to steal some of your money!
Giveaways
You can choose to gift someone with a fish too. Simply tap on the fish you want to give away, and approach a person in Fisch. When you reach them, you can tap and hold on offer item to give the person the gift.
Note that you cannot get the item back, so be careful of what you offer!
